THESE THINGS

These things remind me of you
A phrase
The jauntiness of a step
My poem book
A particular song
One very beautiful poem
These emotions remind me of you
A breathless anticipation
Of laughter and of anger all at once
Of sadness, longing and again of joy
Of pain, sorrow and heartache
All these emotions remind me of you
If I could go back in time
I'll say things a bit differently,
act a bit more maturedly
I would if I could take back time
But alas, time has slipped my grasp
And all i have left are these things that remind me of you
